When will I receive my order?
We ship via first class mail, priority mail, and UPS Monday-Friday.These methods usually take 2-5 days depending on your location. We ask that you allow up to 10 days to receive your merchandise. If you ordered Next Day or Second Day Air your order will be shipped via that method. International packages will take longer. For International packages outside the USA and Canada, the store manager will contact you via email with your shipping total and shipping method options.
Is there an extra shipping charge for subscriptions?
No. Shipping charges are included in the price of the subscriptions. Make sure you select the correct subscription option during checkout. For example, for New Moon Magazine, Canadian subscriptions are $39.00 for one year, and international subscriptions are $44.00. If you are ordering other merchandise as well as a subscription, you will be charged shipping and handling to ship the merchandise on your order.
Why does it take 8 -12 weeks for a new subscription to start?
Most monthly publications take 6- 8 weeks to start being delivered. Because New Moon and Daughters are bi-monthly publications, ours takes a little bit longer. New Moon Magazine and Daughters Newsletter are sent to subscribers directly from our printer. We have to send our list of subscribers to them about three weeks in advance of each issue. If your order was not processed somewhere in between when our last issue went out and when we need to send our list to the printer, your subscription will begin with the following issue, which would go out roughly 12 weeks from when your order was processed.
Is there anything I can do to receive my magazine sooner than the 8-12 week start time?
Yes. You may purchase the current single issue or a back issue to be sent directly from our office via first class mail. The cost including first class postage in the USA for New Moon Magazine is $6.75. The cost for a single issue of Daughters Newsletter is $6.50. You may order single issues in the New Moon Magazine or Daughters Newsletter sections of the store or by calling 1-800-381-4743 ext 18.
I am giving a gift subscription to a girl. Will she receive something saying it's from me?As soon as your order is processed, a gift card for you to fill out and pass on to the girl will be sent to you along with your order confirmation letter. You may request a gift card to be sent right away by calling our office.
Will the girl in my life like New Moon?
New Moon: The Magazine for Girls and Their Dreams is edited by a group of 8-14 year old girls. Most of the content is written by girls in that age group and that is the age range that we recommend it for. If you are not sure if it will suit the girl in your life, you can order a single issue for her to review first. You may do this in the New Moon Magazine department of our store, or by calling 1-800-381-4743 ext. 18.
Can I cancel my subscription?
If you have subscribed to New Moon Magazine for girls or Daughters Newsletter for parents of girls and wish to cancel, we will issue you a refund for any un-served issues.
Will you send me a sample copy of New Moon? We do not send out free sample copies. New Moon Publishing is a small, independent publisher and our focus on content has led to the policy regarding paid advertising in our publications. NewMoonŽ: The Magazine for Girls and Their Dreams and Daughters Newsletter carry no advertising. Most magazines depend on ad revenue to cover the high costs of production. Because our publications carry no ads, we rely on sales of the magazines to keep them in print. We do sell single issues for $6.75, which includes first-class postage. Other options include libraries; many bookstores (Barnes & Noble, Borders and independent booksellers) also carry New Moon.
